Most Scottish businesses meet environmental compliance

The overwhelming majority of Scottish businesses are now following environmental regulations, the country’s environment protection agency has revealed.  The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) has published its compliance results for 2015-16, and found that the overall compliance rate has increased from 88% to 90.4%. The high compliance rate shows that the environment is regarded as an important priority in Scotland.   Earlier this year, the Scottish Government unveiled its first ever circular economy strategy, outlining plans to reduce waste in the food and construction sectors and promote recycling and reuse across the country.,%20edie%20daily%20newsletter&utm_medium=email,%20email&utm_content=news&utm_campaign=dailynewsletter,%20910a96c408-dailynewsletter
